Dr Cathryn Amey
Principal GP and Practice owner
Dr Amey is an accredited Registrar supervisor and keen educator. She holds a position of Conjoint Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney and teaches medical students.
Is the Business Manager and Co-owner
He is also a beef producer running cattle on properties at Mummulgum and Dyraaba.
Dr Jasmin Smyth
Jasmin grew up in the Northern Rivers in Bellingen and Coffs Harbour. She undertook her medical studies in the rural campus of Wollongong and has been settled in the Lismore region for the past 5 years.
Jasmin is passionate about rural General Practice and enjoys the ongoing relationships with her patients and being able to support them through all aspects of their healthcare journey.
Dr Meera McGarry
Dr Meera McGarry obtained qualifications at the University of Queensland in Brisbane and the James Cook University in Townsville so has worked in both regional and remote areas.
She is an advocate for preventative medicine and enjoys educating patients about their chronic disease. When she is not working she enjoys salsa dancing, spending time with her family and tending to her vegetable garden.
Dr Tahmina Khatoon
Dr Tahmina Khatoon graduated in Medicine in Bangladesh where she worked in Paediatrics before moving to Australia. Tahmina has now settled in the Northern Rivers with her family after spending time in Queensland. She is passionate about Rural medicine and in particular, she enjoys child health, women’s health and aged care.
Tahmina loves gardening, cooking, music and is an animal lover – especially cats.
Carol and Amanda have been working with our team for over ten years. They are fantastic with our patients and are an integral part of what makes Riverside Family Practice so special.
Carol and Amanda are both accredited providers for the National Immunisation Program.
Carol has many years of hospital and community work. She has been a key member of our team since we opened our doors in 1997.
Carol has a special interest in wound care.
Amanda has many years of experience in the hospital and community work areas.
Amanda is our Chronic Diseases nurse, clinical IT lead and is responsible for coordinating Accreditation.

Alyssa, Rhonda and Trish can answer your queries with accounts and appointments.
They are also fully qualified in First Aid and accredited to give CPR.
