We have two new doctors to introduce to you. Dr Omune and Dr Mortensen are our new Registrars and have now begun working at Riverside Family Practice. Dr James Mortensen has worked as a doctor in the Northern Rivers region for the past four years. He is passionate about providing high-quality care to Rural patients and is a Registrar with the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. James is originally from Melbourne so he keenly follows the AFL (Hawthorn) and also enjoys keeping fit by taking his two kelpies for daily runs.
Dr Brenda Omune trained both at the University of Nairobi in Kenya and the University of Sydney. She moved to Northern NSW in 2013 with her young family. Brenda has experience and special interest in mental health, general medicine and chronic disease management .She also enjoys women's health, paediatrics and all other aspects of general practice.
